Dads Read is a program for 5th grade boys and their fathers or other male mentors. Research has shown that older elementary and middle school age boys stay more interested in reading if they see adult male role models reading. After sharing three books chosen by the Lower School librarians, teams of students and dads compete to display their knowledge and answer challenging questions drawn from the books. This year's titles were The Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt, The Underdogs by Mike Lupica, and A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck. Congratulations to the O'Keefe/Oakey/Omohundro team for winning this year's competition!
